Perhaps Dharam Das did think of himself as a successor of Kabir based on his mystical inner experiences. That's what more recent gurus have also done, including Sawan Singh. ![]() Perhaps their own history about the composition of their early writings is lost to them, so all they can go by is what the Anurag Sagar says, taking it literally as historic. they do believe Dharam Das was a contemporary of Kabir and was a successor of Kabir.
